This September the NYFW shone yet again yielding us with great highlights. Similarly to every year, this time too, the plausible and distinctive quality framed an impressive outlook however the one that caught our eye year was The Japera Brown collection.
Rashida Brown’s immense catalogue once again opened doors to different ideas as the 25 year old designer inspires her radius wherever she goes. Explaining in her previous interviews, Rashida Brown has mentioned numerous times that her objective is spreading self love and being confident in your own skin. There’s no argument over that seeing that the collection’s slogan happens to be “Free to be you” promoting a strong self esteem and love for one’s self no matter what insecurities you have. Previously known for her apparel line named “Lovin’ the skin I’m in” she happens to be a great source of motivation seeing her daily struggles with eczema, proving to be an influencing icon for the people.
On Sept 12th at NYFW in HiTechMODA’s ReGen Runway sustainable segment Rashida Brown pre launched her new “Basic but classy” line which aims to promote new change, consisting of boots, fashion sneakers, heels and further with a mix of green, pink black and cheetah print that can be paired with many looks. The encouraging factor to be noted was the use of black women specifically of different sizes, aiming to destroy the usual stereotypes. This diverse approach prompts opportunities for all models no matter cast, color or creed. The Japera Brown collection pictured nothing but art! The best part is most definitely the affordable pricing, varying from $150 to $250 for women and $60 to $75 for girls. With the theme basing off slow fashion, the Italian leather shoes go perfectly in all environments, from casual wear to ethical working conditions the shoes provide impeccable versatility.
Rashida’s aim is to help women reveal their individuality and embrace their beauty through her collections, She is a fashion visionary with a thoughtfully crafted motto “ be the change I want to see” reveals that she is super positive about inculcating positivity all around.
